#1 My Language Learner Identity.

I had learned English as an education curriculums since When I was junior high school student to high school student in my country.
I had learned English many years but I still have some difficulty in English. This is one of reasons that students learned English by note-taking in those schools. Otherwise, they didn't practice speaking. Although I learned vocabularies and grammars, I'd never used English after graduated high school.

I hadn't learned any other languages except Japanese and English but now I'm interested in French. I want to visit there one day and want to understand what people talk. I like their culture and cuisine. They keeping many old and beautiful buildings so the sight is like in a fairy. And their fashion is modern and elegant as they have pride in fashion. French cuisines are always made in delicate so I can taste it deeply. Like these, many reasons make me want to learned French!

I have no idea in French yet, but English that I learned many years which I still have problem. I think it is easier to read news or articles than novels in English. I always don't know too many words when I read a novels and I feel tired and bored soon... So, I prefer to use to read on the internet or papers in Japanese.
Facebook or other social networks is ok in English for me. There are just a few words to read and write. I can patient for that.

When I want to tell my feeling exactly and deeply, I really need to use Japanese writing. I can't show my feeling well in English as when I use Japanese.

I think writing academic things have some rules to make them. Procedures it's like introduction body conclusion or do not forget an main idea and so on. As master its rules, it not going to be too difficult. But it's hard to master that. I prefer to write academic things in Japanese but I feel writing is easier than reading in English.

Japanese as my first language have words to show respects which I like use them. I use those words when I talk to person who I respect. I really feel comfortable with the words because I can show my respect to the person.

  1. It's true that it's hard to read in English when you don't know all the vocabulary - but the best way to learn is to read a lot!

Japanese has very specific language for showing respect, and we don't have so much of it in English. There are just more polite ways to speak, as opposed to more casual ways.
